Aiming at spreading accessible and attractive information on Year 2015 – the year of European developing cooperation – and encouraging responsibility and solidarity in every member of the community, Justinas Marcinkevicius Prienai Public Library and their partners organised European Week “WE’RE CREATING THE FUTURE TOGETHER! YOU JOIN US TOO!” During this week, the library organised the Euro Infokiosk, exhibition “We’re creating the future together! 2015 – a year for the European development”, competition “European School”, a creative Euro Workshop, seminar “E-commerce”, educational seminar “Get to Know Europe”, meeting with Lithuanian journalist, writer, traveller, TV show presenter, guide Algimantas Jurgis Cekuolis. Visitors had an opportunity to test their knowledge on the European Union taking part in a European exam.
A meeting with Lithuanian journalist, writer, traveller, TV show presenter, guide Algimantas Cekuolis was organised in the Small Hall, Prienai Cultural and Leisure Centre. His wife – psychologist, lecturer at Vilnius University Edita Cekuoliene – arrived with him. During the meeting Algimantas Cekuolis, Jieznas gymnasium of Prienai district received an acknowledgement as the MOST EUROPEAN SCHOOL OF 2015 for interesting initiatives and creativity in presenting the EU funds and international partners.
The library carried out the European exam that included 10 participants. Winner of the first stage Daiva Kebliene moved on to the second stage of the exam that will take place online on 14 May 2015.
